I have been wondering this for a while. When a user isn't logged in, or a guest visits the forum, is their any particular reason why the Garbage Dump isn't shown to them? Or, because of it having no real set purpose, did you think that guests wouldn't want to see it?

I noticed that the other day, and if you ask me, no offence, but the garbage dump is alot more interesting than some of the other stuff here...

George - TEH DUSTBIN may be more fun than *some* things, but the Garbage Dump itself is mostly a massive collection of spammed up then locked topics.

Maybe the Garbage Dump is why so many people don't post. They don't see it, join, see it, and run screaming.

Garbage Dump is the place where moderators poop!

The reason why it's inaccessible to non-members is so that spam advertisements can't be accessed from there via search engines (e.g., Google) after they've been trashed by the moderators.

I prefer my theory, it's slightly less plausible but definitely more fun.

Easy. The Garbage Dump is hidden from public but accessible to everyone because the Inner Core can be seen by everyone but accessed only by few. It's all part of the balance.
