phpbb and search timer

hery, i've two questions:
1, i know it's been asked before, but are there any plans to go over to phpbb 3, or another system (vbulletin, simplemachines, or other)?
2, could you please allow for shorter time between searches? perhaps for users with >100 posts or something to avoid server troubles.

I vote NOOOOOO to phpbb 3. SOSZ went over to it, and it slowed down everything. When I try to open up all of the new posts on tabs, I get 2 of them and then an "error connecting to server" page.
I'm down with number two, though.

Done. Well, the second one. For phpbb3 I don't have any plans in the near future, i think there are more important things I'd have to tweak on MD first.

phpbb v3 should be faster, not slower.
hery, now you got me curious. things like what?
and what 'bout said delay 'tween searches?

He said that one was fixed. And I know that it should be better, but for me, it's a pain in the ass. Have you tried it out on a forum?

Also I feel like a bunch of small things need improvement on the main site.
