SSBM & Super Smash Bros Brawl

Postby Davion Fuxa » Sat Jun 27, 2009 2:42 am

By any distinction, this is an old game, but I think it is a keeper in all respects until the next installment comes out.

My friend owns a Wii, and of course he owns SSBM. Out of all the Wii games he's got, this has to be my hands down favorite. I don't know how many of you have played it or seen it but if you ever wonder what game to play on the Wii when a friend asks, check for this one.

Thoughts though from anyone who HAS played this?

I'm bad at the game so I never enjoyed myself when I did play it. To be honest I stopped liking whatever nintendo made when they came out with the gamecube and did away with games appealing to the bloodthirsty shooter fan.

nice to see you post something that isn't about politics, davion.

i've not played SSBB or SSBM. or the orginal for n64, either. i don't like the hype that surrounds it. generally, hype makes me resistant to things rather than interested in them.

davion, old?
brawl's fairly recent.
played all three, melee was the most fun one, i think, most balance, least rock-paper-scissors and most depending on skill with luck as opposed to on your character. also it was everything ssb was but just BETTER.

used to play hours and hours with family and mates, could beat anyone.
i stopped playing, but those mates didn't, they still play hours a day, i imagine they can beat me without thinking now.

Melee is the seductive goddess and Brawl is her less attractive sister.

Brawl has been around for over a year now, I call that old in the age of video games. Off the top of your hand, how many games (not including those made from Activision Blizzard) are still worth playing after a year?

Hell, iirc, I resurrected the oldest thread in GD one time just for sng.
