everyone bows in japan...it's a nice system of showing how much respect you are giving someone, the lower the bow the more you respect them...the downside is if you have a sore back and meet the emperor or something. it's like a hand-shake or greeting hug but without the possibility of confusing the other person with how much you respect them. i like it. mine now. i'm moving to japan.

We weren't talking, nor do we care about japan, since no one on the board seems to be in, or from, or related to japan.

Speak now if you are and I'll just x this post.

I don't think killing yourself over fucking your life up is honorable. It's just giving up while you're still alive.

I disagree though, I think killing yourself in any situation, even for the good of the many situation is stupid.

Hence why you got that guy in back you to cut your head off when you fail to commit suicide!

now this brings a question up. would sacrificing your life so your loved ones could live be considered suicide?

well it depends on how you sacrifice your life.. but i don't think it would be suicide.. because in my oppinion, suicide is a selfish act of killing yourself just because your life isn't goingthe way you want it to with no consideration about how people who care about you will feel...though technically it might be considered suicide by pure definition.

The act or an instance of intentionally killing oneself. dictionary.com
if you do that - it's suicide, no matter the factors - it's a way to die, like murder
if you give your life for others to live it's a sacrifice and the way you die determines if it was a suidide, or not
might be confusing

SC, if you're sacrificing yourself for the life of your family (I haven't watched any superhero or hostage situation movies in a while...) then it is honorable. But if you're killing yourself because you fucked up your life, like darklire said, is just stupid.

that's what i thought, however the views on suicide for the rest of the world can be different due to culture/morality....

And selfish as __-RAWRRR said. Also, it could result in a horrible chain reaction of painful suicides.

Just Shanna killed herself but before doing so she said goodbye in her e-journal. Some time later the journal was invaded for some members of a forum called LUE. Jaja, funny and cruel.

This is old but maybe some of you haven't heard of her.

yeah, suicide because you can't deal with your problems is stupid. suicide after being defeated is ok, well, not in sports or anything, but like war. if you're captured. aren't spies and stuff given cyanide pills in case they're captured? it's sort of like that, but with moral ideas instead of political/warfare. i agree though, suicide would be the very last option. even if you have nothing going for you, even if you did the most terrible thing ever, instead of killing yourself, try to repent.

someone asked about this earlier when i said "lue'd", it was a reference to this forum which can be found on gamefaqs.com.. only certain accounts can access it anymore, though. it got a little out of control, in fact i'm pretty sure the livejournal thing was the last straw...

Wrong.

If you hold time/mission sensitive information though, then you're dying for the sake of possibly saving lives. Which is okay.
