It's located at the top-right hand corner of your posts.
Always 'EDIT your original post instead of making another one. If you double posted, DELETE one of the posts.
If you're gonna quote more than one person, do it in the same post.'
We hate to scroll all the way down one page to read that the same person has posted multiple times with nonsense that they wanted to add to their previous post. That's why we have the EDIT button. Use it.

I'd like to add that when you double post, the only function that it could serve that is better than the edit button is that it bumps your post and adds a new post to the, "Most recent posts" page. This has proved useful on other forums, but I don't see much use for it here, except for those who are extremely short on time.

I've used this in updating important posts to put it on the front page letting people know, "Hey buddy, this has a new post. It's probably important since it's in this rarely used but very important forum. You might want to check it out some time."

Just because it's stickied doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to be on the front page, or even have that nice new post feel to it. Then again, no posts here are on the front page.

err. stickied DOES mean it'll stick on the first page.
what do you think a sticky does? it sticks to the top.

also, why'd you wanna explain why they should use the edit button any more than is explained already? it's fine like this.

Hah. Go to hell.

I rarely click on a topic that doesn't have new posts. At that, I don't click on a forum unless it has new posts. I have more important stuff to do with my time than re-read old posts.

Like I said, I've used double posts on other forums for a reason. It may not have a lot of use here, though. On another note, the sacred guidelines get violated enough that they don't seem important anyway. This forum's only real rule is to use your head before posting, with the consequence being flaming.

It's fine, yes, but I like to be clearer. If nobody wants to take the effort to clarify this one point, then it doesn't matter. If the moderators think that this is a good point, they'll add it.

Tweak - If the guidelines are violated so very often, describe 10 violations by any of our non-idiot members.

Keep in mind that the dustbin is guideline free.

That's why you can delete your old post and then make a new one. If you want to keep the content of your old post, then copy-paste it into the new post.

Erm... You know that little X button, near the quote and edit buttons?

Guess what it does.

I'll just go ahead and bring attention to the fact you can't delete a post that has posts after it.

That's a given, it'd make succeeding posts look weird.

Anyway, we're talking about alternatives to double posting, and if there are succeeding posts, it doesn't matter.

Okay, I didn't notice that.

In that case, my point doesn't matter.

Its a bit annoying if you have been in a forum often and you see a lot of spam and the childish crap most of them pull, you'd definately have a good reason for tacking up rules for ingorant people.

I say it's a damn fine piece of work, unless it somehow contains outdated information you should leave it like it is.

Although everything seems pretty actual to me.
Order, symmetry, discipline and balance.
