The american army will never come home, soldiers come and go but the army has been on the move since it first left during the world wars, there will always be battles to fight for the US and never on it's territory.. smartest nation on the planet, too bad for the rest of us.
Now NATO is setting up bases in Romania, wonder when the war will come here...

How's the politics in Romania now? The geographical position reminded me of all the nasty things that happened in Bosnia in the 90's...

Internal politics is stable (in a way..), every time we vote we chose someone else we know none of the parties are uncorrupted but we change them so that they will do a bit of good for the country in fear of not being voted for at the next election.
I'm not worried that the US will try to make order in Romania, rather that we will be used as an outpost for fighting with other countries in this area.. lots of unstable government around not to mention Russia's pretty close too, and it may not seem like a risk now but who knows...
