Actually some of the first people that registered at the forums are good RL friends of mine. They're just not active.

But for some reason MINDistortion just isn't able to really get the grip on Austria, despite being known by almost everyone i know in real life (without me telling them about the site myself, usually it's friends of friends that tell them). Then again, Austria is a really, really really, really really really small country.

so was this suppose to be a european site? or were you gearing it to austria but the popularity just kind of grew into the USA? cause i for one think this site is pretty interesting =]

I was never aiming for any specific region. It just happened that I receive more visitors from the USA than from any other countries. I suppose that, when you use english as your primary language and build a presence on mostly US based websites (like Newgrounds.com) you're bound to get most visits from the USA
But even though I didn't manage to build an Austrian MINDistortion community it still got me enough presence to build connections to several smaller Austrian companies => Commissions for me!
