Greetings, fellow forum-goers
I go by many names online, so many even I can hardly keep track. You lot can call me Nikhar.
The name comes from a character in a new story I'm working on.
First, I'd like to put forward that I am here solidly for one reason. I love everything on MINDistortion.tv. The movies are great, the games are fun, the art inspires my own drawings and ideas. So, since I've now taken from MINDistortion, I'd like to give back by participating in the forum and contributing worthwhile material.
Next, I'd like to say that my absolutely TOP interest above all the others is computers and programming. I know some HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, and Ruby. Most of my knowledge lies within the area of PHP and SQL because I haven't gotten back to studying HTML and CSS but just recently. I actually happen to be one of three people that comprise a recently started web design company called Joken Design.
My next major interests come about even, music and anime.
As far as music goes, I love most sub-genres of rock, esp. classic rock, hard rock, and psychedelic rock. I also enjoy the genre nerdcore a great deal.
In the area of anime, I love shows such as Chobits, Fooly Cooly, and Naruto. My favorite anime movie is Akira. My favorite show and anime in general is Fooly Cooly beyond all shadow of a doubt. It's amazing, especially so if watched all back to back.
Another interest is reading. I mostly stick to fantasy and horror (My favorite author is Stephen King). My favorite book is The Stand.
I don't think I left anything out, though I'm not really sure. Any questions, just ask!

So far, I've only seen guides for drawing specific features online. (Feet, wings, eyes, hands, etc.)hypofantasticman! wrote:And as far as questions go, where can i find a good website to start drawing anime? i fucking hate the cartoons but the drawings are fantastic.
I'd go with looking for books. Manga kits aren't _too_ bad, but the little mannequin they come with is so incredibly cheap... The Monster Book of Manga series is a good reference, too.
Where is fancy bread? In the heart or in the head?

This is the first warm welcome I think I've ever given. You spell everything with pointed accuracy, and you actually hold consistent trains of thought over multiple paragraphs.

Welcome to the MD forums, Krahl.
I'm not a very big fan of anime myself. But Cowboy Bebop had it PERFECT! I use to watch Dragonball Z, but I got sick of it when the show became too drawn out (Super Saien IV is just not feasible enough for my weak little mind.) In bebop, the series were short, sweet, and almost everyone dies. The TRUE makings of something Epic!

Seriously though... I really dislike anime. It's sunk so low... This Akira would have to be pretty damn good.
