I very well could use "§" and "&" if I wanted to. This is a number system that hasn't been standardized, so we can use whatever symbols we fucking want, to represent 10 and 11. Please, PLEASE try to understand this. For your brain's sake.

By the way, if you guys are having trouble adapting from Base-10 to Base-12, I can't even begin to imagine how badly you would try to adapt to a Base-2. I guess you guys should stay the fuck away from binary.
Seriously now, try to imagine someone adapting from a Base-2 decimal system to a Base-10. They'd probably think the numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 were just as unnecessary as you guys seem to think X and Y are, but you can't imagine how you'd get along without them. If we were living in a society that used Base-12, you wouldn't know how to get along without X and Y.
If you can learn to use a Base-10 system, then you can learn to use a Base-12 system. It's as simple as that.
