I really don't see what was so bad about Frosty's intro. Especially compared to ones like these. Honestly, I just don't see what was wrong with it. If you could quote me a single line in his intro that sounded noobish, I'd be interested in seeing what struck you so.

it's a bit overdone and hiding in a certain type of speech, but yeah, it's not THAT bad.

From what I can tell I seriously doubt your intro thread was that bad frosty.

It was just painfully arrogant. It wasn't noobish, really.

I agree with "painfully arrogant". It tried too hard to be cool.

And well, Ravenesque.

If you were Autistic, you weren't be able to speak so well and be in a world all of your own.

oh man, luna, you mean it WASN'T a joke?

luna, autism is a fairly wide concept, and the variation frosty has (and i was well, for that matter), is asperger's syndrome, also called "high functioning autism".
one of asperger's pillars, is an extremely high IQ, and, asp's often take a liking to the structure of language, thus leading em to speak like frosts did in that message.
if you read, you see he overcomplicates sentences, and jots it all down very formal like, which is quite typical of an ASP.

I already explained this.

Image

I lost me those psychological characteristics. Asperger's is neurological; you can't get rid of it. On top of the test, damn near every adult I know and peers who know anything about it don't think I've got it. I've lost the debilitating traits and all that's left is a guy with quirks.

I'm guessing I had the traits to begin with because of my living through three years old.

I believe that Frosty mistook the test for the second time, either by subconsciously weighting the responses, or by developing neuroses such as depression prior to taking the test for the second time.

Based on observation, I believe that he is still definitively autistic, but has also taken on several neurotic tendencies and dispositions in recent months that have obscured his placement on the autism spectrum. This, combined with a possible mistake due to subconscious weighting of responses, may have contributed to the non-autistic results of the test.

It is also possible that he is subconsciously but actively attempting to put an end to his autism by adopting non-autistic mindsets and behaviors, due to restlessness and to a desire for change.

I will not accept Frosty's claim that he is non-autistic until the claim is supported by his psychologist, Barb, or until I sense a reversal of autistic mannerism in his behavior.

I will accept that my own observation may be flawed due to a diminishing amount of time spent with him. This has been my own choice; I have become less and less interested in his company since he has begun developing the aforementioned neuroses; examples of these include his phases of alternating depression and sociability and frequent unwillingness to engage in activities outside of school, except when seized by short lived whims.
