Favourite place:
That's a really tough one. Hamburg is a city with more possibilities than I imagined. Luxembourg is way more beautiful than I expected, the same is true for Bern. But I'll have to say the Freetown of Christiania in Copenhagen. Not because they openly sell Hash & Cannabis in a semi-legal way (theoretically it's illegal, practically the trade is tolerated/accepted in this area) but because I've rarely seen such a beautiful and peaceful district. Not only are there cute houses and gardens of various styles and sizes, there's also a beautiful park with a lake in the center, there are also a lot of small business (apart from the obvious soft drug dealers and t-shirt booths in the touristic center of Christiania)

Least favourite:
Strasbourg. It's a nice city, but it got boring rather quickly. But for the protocol, although I'm not a huge fan of the French language, a French accent is really cute on chicks.

Stories:
We did a lot of random exploring, so we often got rewarded with lovely places that one could miss rather easily. My favourite experience regarding this was Luxembourg. When we arrived at the main station the city seemed really ugly and we almost considered heading for the next town. But when we headed for the center, the city got more beautiful by the minute. Including a pittoresque view across a part of Luxembourg that was built in a huge, green valley in the center of the city as well as wonderfully lit, modern, urban areas. But that's not really a story.
Or night out in Hamburg was crazy, even though it was during the week. We were at the Reeperbahn and what started as simple pub hopping quickly turned into a Fear and Loathing in Hamburg kind of experience. We met a lot of different people, heard a lot of crazy stories, saw a lot of things happening, all mixed up in a blurry haze of bars, clubs and prostitutes. And we didn't went to any of the clubs.
There are a lot of fun stories, but most are of the kind of it's-funnier-if-you've-been there.

Like:
In the end, every city on the list

Love:
Copenhagen, Hamburg, Luxembourg, Bern
Amsterdam is nice, but it's rather stressful due to the lot of drug & red light tourism
Bruges is beautiful, but I think it's more for couples, old people and young families. It gets old rather quickly.
Zurich was fun because we had a couchsurfer there, so we met a lot of locals (and Austrians that emmigrated to Zurich). It's a beautiful city as well, but we were already tired

Hate:
Entering Amsterdam, with no place to stay, too many people everywhere and pissed of prostitutes (figures, they really hate being photographed - at least i think that's what the guy did)
But in the end we managed to rent an apartment for the night, so it was all good.
The prices in Bern and Zurich. We managed to end up in what I think is currently literally the most expensive city in the world. Thanks to the strong CHF which has been largely unaffected by the worldwide financial crisis the cost of living is about double to triple compared to Austria right now. To get the picture - a large beer in a rather cheap bar in Zurich will cost you USD 9.35,- right now.

Wow, that's enough for me to leave on the spot.

But other than that is sounds awesome. I'd really love to tour like that. Though I don't know the animosity I would face due to my home country. Might have to play off as Canadian.

Naaaaah, I enjoy telling people I'm from Texas to see their reactions. Its amazing that everyone thinks I'm a cowboy. Although I'm thinkin' of gettin' me a cowboy hat as it'd go nice with my rugged beard.

Pfft, that's a pansy-ass beard. Give it 6 months and try again.

just trimmed it, actually, was my b-day and my sis came home from holiday, figured i'd do her a favour. she don't like beards.
i mostly have it for lack of maintenance, anyway, and 'cause it's comfy. trim once every two or so weeks and you're done.

^Of course you have.

The stoic cowboy face amused me, I think that's probably the first time we've seen a picture of you not smiling :)
Also, I'm afraid Darky's beard wins :P

Darky's beard wins everything.

Also, right now I wish I had a cowboy hat.

Are they hard to come by in Austria? If I have the money and find a cheap one I might mail one to you if so.

Though don't hold your breath, I still owe Glock a secret santa gift.

I still remember that, Glock, and I still plan on something some day.

Nah, I think it's fairly easy to get one, at least in Vienna. I appreciate your sentiment though.

So ah... It doesn't really matter, I don't think, since I was basically gone anyway, but I am kinda having an episode right now and experiencing a compulsion to announce my likely permanent departure. I'm combatting the continuing onset of what appears to be Schizoaffective Disorder. I'm going to be concentrating on my mental health and I don't feel like sticking around just to whine about how tough things are getting.

I guess you can contact me by my profile's email if you really give a shit.

So... thanks for everything.

Well, it's been good having you around. Get better if you think you need to, but don't let anyone convince you you're sick.

Now get over here for a hug goodbye...
