I guess I like talking, but I don't know anyone around my area that look much like their into deep meaningful talk. what are the general rules around here?
the Forum Guidelines wheren't very clear beyond "don't be an ass" and "don't necropost".

Necroposting is digging up a thread that's old and trying to rekindle it by posting in it. Some sites don't want you to start new threads when old ones exist on the same topic. Here, that doesn't matter. Start away. I don't think -that- many people really care if you do necropost, but those that do will yell at you for it. If you're not sure how old is necro, it doesn't hurt to try.

And those are pretty much the basic rules. Don't post in color unless there's a reason, spell right unless there's a reason, ect. If you say somehting stupid, be ready to take shit for it. If you piss someone off, be ready for them to flame. (As for that don't be an ass thing, ignore it completely - We've an abundant amount of assery here).

Honestly, I think you'll be fine. It's usually pretty obvious which ones are gunna get harassed. Just post what you want, and the other members will let you know if you're out of line.
