Why would we say something like that? Just because you say you're "kinda new" doesn't mean that you're saying, "Hey, I'm not new, but I'm not old either." If you were saying that, then someone might say "choose" to you, although they'd probably be a bit more inclined to just tell you that you're new.
Also, you didn't say that, I did as a semi-sarcastic comment. Although I probably would wear a tutu for the heck of it, as long as it wasn't pink.
