We got a choice between French and Japanese; except we didn't end up with a choice so I learnt Japanese for six years.

All we had was Spanish. Our French teacher quit. I didn't mind that much. There's tons of people that speak Spanish here, and it's nice to know whether the men are making polite remarks or not. And then how to tell them where to keep their eyes if those remarks aren't that polite.

The look of surprise on their faces is just a nice bonus.

It's pretty easy to learn. Very simple grammar rules.

We had to fill in this form thing before the start of year 7, whether or not we wanted to do French or Japanese. I picked French; on the basis of nothing other than wanting to go to France, but our class was told we had to do Japanese, because we were 'special.' I'm glad it happened, I loved it (riiiiiight up until this year. )

We were given the option of French, Spanish, or Chinese. I picked the latter two. Yo hablo espaniol. Wo hui shou Hanyu.

I've always wanted to learn German.

All I can do is count to ten, and say, "Schlag mich baby noch ein mal."
I's listen to the Wise Guys - German acapella band that did a cover of "Hit me baby one more time."

I took German for a while but dropped it to get away from a crazy chick. Wish I had stayed in it now though.
I can't decide which one of us will leave here alive

The only thing I need is time

The only Korean I hear is from a charming couple that comes into work occasionally, and I'm not sure how pretty "Two kilo, prawn" can really sound.
