it is derived from two things
first off we have the phrase "hip-hop"
anyways eventually someone got tired of that damn extra syllable and called it pop
why? because pop is soda and soda is lively and jumpin
secondly we must return to soda
haters of this music banned together in a last stitch effort to maintain sanity and named it pop.
why? because pop is a prepackaged drink that is all really the same but claims to be different
my verdict: down with pop
