Apparently a lot of people don't understand that there are "different kinds" of IP addresses, so:
IPv4 is what people used, but an IP is limited to so many combinations before there is no combinations of numbers left.
IPv6 is just IP version 6. To keep things on a simpler level, more IPs can connect since all of the combinations of IP addresses on IPv4 are in use.
(Just to help explain for those that don't know)
Good thing we've been preparing for this- could have been like a Y2K epidemic.
