I blow at this game. I got almost 1400 but then I took Speed and Bouncy -powerups and, well you know what its like after that

Well, it's very similar to the first one but on the other hand it's a new twist to a classic. The new power-up bubbles is what makes the game for me.

The arrow key problems I talked about in the Computer section of the forum prevent me from actually doing any good at this game.

And unless you built this game from the ground up again, I wouldn't be calling it "Bubbles 2", more like "1.5" as it's basically an expansion.

I've rebuilt everything from scratch, with a different approach on collision detection, etc. There's no line of code from the original Bubbles, the only thing I reused were the graphics. (I mean... they are Bubbles... what is there to graphically enhance on Bubbles?)

I got up to 2,000, and then I got a stream of "Bubble Only" Power-ups, and "Speed", And well, the rest fell into place.

It's really all up to luck after maybe 1,200 points or so. I don't doubt that someone comes along and gets 10k, eventually.

yeah, i agree with the statement about luck. after a certain amount of points it just depends on what power-ups, and combination of power-ups you get. i doubt i'll ever be able to beat my current score, let alone yours. but hey, it's fun to try.

Edit: Wow... I just got so big in sugar rush mode that I filled up the entire screen so I just kept consuming bubbles an power ups. When I eventually popped, I had 31524 points!

Nah... that's bullshit... I had no clue there was a sugar rush mode...

Sugar rush mode and regular mode have seperate score boards, so I beat you fair and square . You can switch it to sugar rush mode though settings. I prefer sugar rush mode because it's crazier.
