Just wondering that why is the site intro missing from the frontpage? It was cool part of this community on the days when I joined here, used to watch it every time I entered.

I know. I love the new one because it introduced me to Sulpher. Also it synced up with the music SO fucking well.

A new one should be made maybe?

Awwww... you digged them up! :)

Back then when I started MINDistortion was just a little showroom with a few bits of flashwork and very few visitors. Now the site has grown much bigger, both in content as well as in visitors. Some people are visiting the site for more than 3 years by now (at least I hope so), and presenting them the same animation one visit after another just doesn't seem right to me anymore. Especially since I'm myself someone who prefers to get straight to the content of a site (although I still love watching flash intros every now and then). Also it saves quite some bandwidth.

yeah, using intros would get annoying over time but you should definatly put them under movies on the site, just so that they wouldn't be forgotten

The new MINDistortion intro can be seen in my Portfolio as one of the work samples, but putting it into the movies section doesn't sound like a bad idea.

While I agree, I hate intros (for C&C Renegade, if you didn't get the patch, you HAD to sit through it); I don't necessarily see it as bad when you have an Intro that can be viewed by choice. Going into the main site and then having an Intro available as an option.

As for Bandwich, how big of a problem is that for you?

And we wonder why we attract so many goths and emos to the site!

well bandwidth ain't that much of a problem, still it's quite a difference if, let's say, 60.000 people download a 100k file like the main menu or a 770k file like the new intro.

Its impossible to set the two then?

it's not impossible, but I simply don't want to use an intro for MINDistortion anymore ;)

Just skip the Intro and dive into the Content is what your thinking right?

Oh well; guess all the Intro attracted was emos and goths and if a new one was made it would probably have the same effect. Let the Content attract new users when you have the time to make some.

Why waste time on making that intro, when you could make some content instead. It would be if the he could be able to make a good intro that he should probably make one, but something tells me the second part of why he isn't making one; what intro currently represents MD and for how long will it represent it?

I'm pretty sure that the other Intro's right now really don't reflect MD currently because they only represent a portion of Heretik's working content.

MD's very diverse right now... it's all complicated

Woah, I fogot about these bueaties. I loved the intros. Thanks for reminding me of them. Pop these ones in with the rest of the movies. They're like timeless classics!
