How about it

I've used it. It's raunchy awesome. Not too different than the current phpbb, just pretty much an updated version.

Probably later, right now I've unfortunately got too many other things to take care of.

Bump.

In light of the recent forum incident, I'd like to see that maybe phpBB3 is tried. It has a mega list of updated feature, and some pretty neat updates.

What forum incident? Never mind, I'll go check.

I'm not too fond of updates myself, if it works, stick to it.

The forum incident was because of a server maintenance routine, not phpBB itself.

I know it was the server. It's still what made me surf though the phpBB site though. You have to admit, the phpBB3 has plenty new features, and even caching of the board to perhaps save bandwidth.

You could at least make a update showing that you did something and haven't been slacking off. :P

I made a forum with phpBB 3, I didn't notice any major differences from the users point of view, I'm sure plenty of plugins can be added though.

Anyway, there's nothing critically wrong with the forum, I don't think an update is crucial, helpful, sure, but we can live without it.
