i was just in the members list thing, and there is like 3 pages of popel with variations of the name 2Rulez92603 and there is one called _websitepromotion_ none of these stupid people have any postes, so why are they there? honestly? can they not be deleted or something?

because I don't want to spent my life checking the members list for bots on a daily basis. I delete every bot I catch on the "newest member" place and the ones that make a move.

I might be able to get my friend to give you a registration mod that makes registering users answer a question such as "What color is the sky?" It's an obvious answer, but bots have trouble with it. Plus, you can make it whatever you want. It's apparently rather simple, or so he says.

Been there, done that. I've also applied some obscure hacks to keep bots at bay.

Guess it doesn't stop random people from joining and never posting.

I wonder if there's a mod that could delete users that are postless for a certain amount of time after joining...

That would annoy me if I were a user who decided to take a break.

ok, fair enough, i just want the plain name George, and its taken with zero posts and it annoyed the hell out of me!

i think he means if they had zero posts, and if it id happen, they could get like warning emails and stuff.

Once again I see no point in deleting zero point users. It's not like this is harming anyone. It only might annoy people that otherwise would get active later on.

I didn't count how many times I got that message, but I think it was more than 20.

But now it seems it is back to normal.

Seems like Mediatemple is having some troubles with their server clusters. I hope they'll have this resolved soon.

How many hits you get a day on average, like just the main page not forum?

I'm not tracking the forums but the main site gets about 1500 unique hits a day.

I make some money with advertising, yeah. But the work input / money output relationship is not really profitable, but that's what I make comissioned projects for
