The ultimate watch (although probably not)

Postby HeRetiK » Sat Mar 01, 2008 2:00 am

For some reason I like clunky watches. I've been wearing G-Shocks for years and they never failed me (except for their wristbands, which are of incredibly bad quality)

Either way, so the wristband of my current watch decided to rip partly apart. So what to do with a otherwise perfect working watch? Well...

Cut off the old wristbands...

...unscrew the spikes of one of your old spiked wristbands...

...and voilá!

A DIY Fossil watch is born! ;p

Huzzah!

My G-shocks died one day when I submerged them. That was one of my saddest days, as I am an avid watch-wearer. But my current watch is a Pulsar dress watch I bought in San Martin (virgin island) and is almost 3 years old, and has not lost a beat (though it loses a couple seconds per month - a death wish if you wanted to use the device to figure out longitude in the mid-atlantic... but that's beside the point.)

It's in my avatar!

Steel straps don't rot or smell, but they can really hurt or scratch someone if you accidentally high-five or punch someone wrong.

I stopped wearing a watch after it started being difficult on my wrist, especially when playing bass. I'm all for pocket watches though.

I guess you're right Stuga. Then again I just wanted to show of my McGyver skills of creating one nice piece of junk out of several other piece of junks.
Which usually involves stitching. Always remember kids, almost everything can be stitched. Even flesh.

It was his XBox, not mine. I don't have have a console, since I play everything on PC - which, however, makes it hard to play games with friends. (in RL, that is)
If you're on Steam you can catch me as CaRnifeXHRK though.

Oh can your watch explode? Mc Gyver would build in a nuclear bomb

Why yes, with the right amount of chewing gum it can.
