I miss Filipino breakfast.

During my stay in the Philipinnes I ate more on a day than I usually do in a week. There didn't pass 4 hours without us going for a huge meal -_-
Seriously, it was like... eating... all the time.

Hey Heretik so you have been here in the Philippines?! Awesome! :D When was it? Do you still remember what foods you ate here? =]

Yeah, we Filipinos eat all the time at least 5 times a day or more. Breakfast here is not your typical cereal and milk, but a lots of rice and toppings, and other stuff you want to eat. we just love to eat.

Been there last christmas, I've got family in Manila and on Luzon in general.

Being the sugar addict I am, I miss ube ice cream and halo halo the most. There are Asia shops where you can get the second one in Austria as well, but ube ice cream just can't be found over here :/

I consider myself a food aficionado, but after having an ulcer in my gastric canal I have been avoiding spices. Since I train three times a week I have switched from thinking taste and pleasure to quantity and nutriton. An example of what I eat daily (if I have the time to prepare everything):

6 eggs (4 if I eat a can of tuna)
6 slices of wholegrain bread + cheese, ham, jam, peanut butter etc
100 g oats
1 l milk
100 g rice, 200 g if it's potatoes or wholegrain spaghetti
3 - 400 g meat, chicken, turkey or salomon
ca. 3 fruits (mostly bananas - yum)

Three times a week I also get 35 g extra protein through shakes, post workout. I also try to eat vegetables, but truth is that I neglect them too often. Even though that sums up at 3500 kcal per day I ought to eat more.

For dinner today I had fried salomon with fired potatoes (boat shaped) and vegetables. I swallowed it down with a pack of apple juice. I didn't eat any eggs but compensated with tuna for lunch and a chicken burger for supper.

Destroyer, what type of milk do you drink? Ok I spell like shit but I will try. Cow milk has been found with undigestable calcins in it, which causes anemia.

Could be, but recent bloodtest I've done show that my levels are good. Besides, the hemoglobin levels were a at tad high (nothing to worry about according the doc) so I'll continue drinking it and I'll do another blood test after summer just to check. I drink milk with 0,7 % fat. I skimmed through the article, and if I understood it correctly it's the skimmed milk that might be bad, and not "light".

I heard about it before. Like some soccer team got a trainer who was stupid and had them drinking a gallon a day. They all had intestinal bleeding. The had research and it was from the milk.

I adore my milkshakes.

It'll sound like bragging, but oh well. I'm amazing at milkshakes. I'll pick whatever I want to put in, and toss it in in beautifully magnificent proportions without even trying.

My favorite so far has been chocolate/vanilla and banana. (Chocolate/vanilla as in approx. 5 scoops vanilla to 2 chocolate, scoop sizes are more or less irrelevant, and chocolate always comes out dominant.)

Edit: With regards to the milk bit, it seems to mostly talk about low fat, and I detest that stuff. I'm all whole milk.

Shock tarts added to a can of cola are better than any pixie stick. Though you can get giant ones at the arcade.

Those look incredibly appetizing.

I'd be hungry if I didn't just have a bowl of thirteen bean and ham soup.

Pixie Sticks... In Red Vines... In soda.

A magically delicious/sticky/messy combination.

Hery, I ate those kind of sausages in Prague and Berlin and they're really tasty. Some people get scared off by the fat, but that's one of the things that makes them so good.
