evilredqueen wrote:^Were you not here here at X-mas? I know I have been getting stuff from all over the world since I joined here. I think it is pretty cool too. I have a matchbook collection from everywhere I have been in the USA (47 states ) with my crown jewel being a book someone gave me from the bi- centennial (1976), a collection of sand from beaches all over the US, Canada and Thailand.
Anyone who would like to trade something and add to my MD collection ... PM me. That was just for you Voly =P
I still never got a Secret Santa gift. I know Leisel was the one what was supposed to be sending it, or at least I gathered as much, and it probably got lost in the mail. I'm not all torn up about it or anything.
What WAS my gift, by the way?

Voly, don't feel bad. I also never recieved a gift from my SS. I have NO idea who that was supposed to be. I am not all torn up about it either XD. I still got gifts though. So when are you sending me the crown you said I was going to get?
There is as much pleasure in giving as receiving .... maybe even more.

Very old thread, I know, but I couldn't help but post here. My cousin brought authentic, country side kimchi back from Korea and I knicked some. It was so good that at that moment, I felt as if I've never had kimchi before in my life. I must get some more somehow... (｀_´)ゞ

I've been surviving off of out dated Starbucks pastries and mcdoubles.
I'll be so glad to have my own place, with a kitchen I can cook in.

Ah, I've learned how to make Onigiri, those japanese rice balls you see on anime a lot.
But they are so damn tasty. Once you've learnt to cook what is in essence, sushi rice, and to do it properly, you can put in your own fillings... smoked salmon and philidelphia work quite well. You are meant to use 'subdued' flavours, I doubted philidelphia would work but... damn, it's philidelphia.. nom.
And since it's not a lot of fun to just read this, and because I have a phone that takes pictures, you know... I might be able to show off my cutlinary might. Which is pointless, since the rice balls wind up looking mostly the same... with different fillings... slightly different shapes... I'm still gunna do it. For real real.

Pics or it didn't happen I guess?
I usually love to cook, but the last few days I've been too lazy to bother, so it's mostly fast food, chinese, cheap energy drinks and bananas.
