What I know is that medical research is found to be absolute bullshit after standing for a couple months of standing. After some time, it'll be the aluminum in cheese that causes cancer, and you'll start ranting about that.

ZZZZZZZZ

Syn probably sent that to you because she knew you'd cream your shorts over something new to alarm folks about.

Aluminum is in antiperspirant and aluminum deposits build up in the body and cause Alzheimer's. Does this not float your boat¿ Is it not disconcerting at all¿ I guess ignorance can lead to happiness someday. You need to do a little more research about the chemistry of the world before you go shrugging off real problems. Just a suggestion.

Most people use antiperspirant, most people don't have Alzheimer's. I don't see why this is setting off such a red alert here.

Furthermore, being in the sun CAN cause skin cancer. I don't know a single person who wears sunscreen every time they go outside.

Where did skin cancer come in again¿ And according to the 2009 World Alzheimer Report, the number of people with Alzheimer's (which is multi-causal, as in, there isn't a direct correlation between antiperspirant use and AD) the disease is predicted to nearly double every 20 years. Take the chance I guess.

And Voly, most people aren't elderly.

I've never completely disagreed with two people at the same time before.

We will all die someday, and everything we accomplish with be forgotten and undone. It is for this reason I am virtually worry free and seldom unhappy.

There's no reason to fill your life with such paranoia and fear.

Myself as well. I didn't know there WAS a difference.

I just figured you like blowing health risks completely out of proportion, so I gave you another "concern" to worry your pretty little head over, is all.

I'm not exactly sure about the implications of these studies, what exactly is the point of this article?

@Frosty: I think the problem with medical research is, that most of it is taken out of context when presented to the broad public.

Or how SMBC put it:

I can't argue that, but then whenever I read about medical research(such as fluoride's effect on the pineal gland), doesn't it suffer from that exact malady?

I agree. Most reports either make everything sound as bad as possible, or as good as possible.

deodorant makes you smell nice. anti-perspirant closes your sweat glands and makes you smell nice.

:o I need to get me some antiperspirant.

Frosty wrote:You operate under the strangle delusion that a human life matters.

... Must you bring that into every discussion? You're acting like a nihilist, dude. You need to be able to discuss internal logic, not just external logic. Sure, I could immediately end every religious debate I have with Ian by saying, "Yeah, well, none of that matters because God doesn't exist." But I don't. In order to have a meaningful and enlightening discussion, I continue with the debate under the temporary assumption that God is real and that biblical scripture is a reliable source.

But Anarch, if you use antiperspirant, you'll get Alzheimer's!
