I am in bad trouble in Oblivion ... I caught "vampirism". I can't decide if I should throw out 8 hours of play and avoid my infection or play it through. :(

Vampirism's the damn bomb. Use it for a while, then do the quest to get rid of it.

Unless you're trying to be a good guy, in which case... go for the quest naow.

Vampirism is awesome because you get so many skillz. It's a trade off though, cause you can't do anything in the daytime =\. It's a lot of waiting and sleeping n shit. But when you *are* in the night, you can do a lot. If you don't like it, try finding a cure. I found it. It's kind of a long quest if you don't know where you're going though.

That's why I make saves every few minutes in Fallout Three; if I don't want something to have happened, I just go back a few minutes.

I save damn near every three seconds

It's a really conservative (pussy) way of playing but hey, at least when I go into a battle have have like 25 stimpacks.

And 241/240 in weight =(

I don't really game on my computer, but when I write essays, I also save every three seconds to avoid issues like my flatmate Rosemary has, where she writes for about 6 hours without saving, then her computer dies and she loses all of it. Its a good way to live.

Well I do too, but every few minutes I create a "doorway save" (so called because I usually make them before going through doors into areas where I might make mistakes, resulting in doorways constantly being depicted in the save thumbnails) which I keep permanently.

I never need stimpaks. But that's because I'm playing "the perfect game" which entails never getting injured (among many other things). By the end of the game I usually have 100-150 stimpaks.

And 241/240 in weight =(

My weight limit is 210 because I invest in agility (for AP) and intelligence (for skill points at level-up) instead of strength or endurance, but I never get close to it these days because I put strict limits on what to loot and what to overlook. (I used to accidentally max out all the time, much to my dismay, when I played the first few times, so I had to set up some ground rules, which eventually got stricter and stricter. Most of my loot these days is 1 pound per item or lighter.)

I do this too, with just about every document I write.

Oh, that's also important to take into account. Don't get me wrong, I always look at value too.

Don't feel bad. My mom got me this really strange raccoon statue.
I mean, don't get me wrong, it's rad. But I wanted something useful.
I wanted a fucking ipod!
Also got a book on concerning the many uses of various plants, which I will be putting to use once spring rolls around.

I just started playing two days ago and I already have over 100 saves. I feel like a bitch.

As such you should. I beat the game and I saved 30 times. I only had to reload one save, once.

I always had ammo for one gun at a time, and my armor was always light, and then I'd sell everything.

Killing the traveling salesmen with the pack cattle was the best idea I ever had.

i guess it's come to something where it's a person's own morality restricting them, not the game itself.

Well, I think it's more his karma rating that is restricting him. He already said he doesn't like doing what is the "moral" decision.

Most of the time I do agree with the moral decision. But when I'm polite to the Overseer and he assaults me anyways I am forced to kill him. But getting ostracized and labeled a murderer when I act in self defense makes me want to put a slug through the smug face of the prick calling me a killer.

You're supposed to threaten to hurt Amata. Then he gets scared and gives you the key.

I just skip talking to him altogether and go pick the lock on the door. (Also, he has a copy of the key in his room.)

Aww GC that was one of my favorite songs. :)

Here was my very favorite:

Never would have guessed huh? :)

I replayed.. and lost 6 hours ... to not be a vampire. I can be at any time since I was offered by the DB. I know the cure but where do I find the 5 necessary stones?

You can't count on quick or auto saves since the game dumps them. I have learned to do the "New Save" more often. I want to choose when to go vamp, not have it given to me while I sleep.

I'm not going to beat this game in 39 hours play time like I did Fallout 3.

I hate lock picking !!!

Added to my list: I now have 4 bikes =X

My brand new winter beater bicycle (created so that instead of my other bikes getting rusted to hell because of road salt in winter, this will take the abuse and I won't feel guilty) =D
