My First Post! (Flash attatched)
Hi I'm new to the Forums, but have watched and spread HeReTiKs(I think thats right, if it's wrong, my apologies) work amongst my friends. I also hav watched some tutorials in flash and here is my first (real) piece of work.
Please rate it out of 10 for a begginer.

E for Effort. Seeing as how you are a beginner and as how I couldn't even figure out how to go to a new scene (then again I tried 4 years ago and not the patient type), I'd say just keep workin at it and maybe one day you'll be better than Hery.
And I like stick-movies.

No offence, but how long did this take you? Since the stickman isn't moving AT ALL, I don't see why you couldn't have drawn a more detailed character, since you didn't animate him anyway. Sticks are mainly used for people who can't draw, or is too lazy to animate real characters. When I first started animating, I used cartoony people and animals. It sucked ass, but I got a hang of it after a while(5 years). In fact, I think I've NEVER made a stick movie, unless you count some very old gif animations I made somewhere in the late 90's. And I think it's for the better.
But, if you're first gonna use a stick in your flash, ANIMATE IT. Make him fall backwards, or atleast move his head. He gotta be some kind of man to take a bullet to his melon and not move an inch. And I would also assume the blood would be kind of squirting a bit instead of just pouring out of his head?
Now, I might seem harsh, but it's for your own good. Making something and getting a constructive response, is the best way of learning, the way I see it. If you really want to start animating, I suggest you open flash again and start cracking. But of course, you could just read the three above replies instead, if you'd rather just have positive responses.

alright for ur first Flash. Took me a long time before I figured out how to mask(I dun like using tutorials lol), but sorta on the same line as hillbilly. When you make something and you think it's good and and ur satisfied with it. Go back and make it even better to the point when u look at it and theres nothing there which u think " mabe I could do that better."
If 10 is high i'll give u a...... 5
Keep it up.

Draw thinner lines, and make it simple to start with. When you've created a character easy enough to animte(remember to make diffrent layers for head, arms, legs, torso etc), mark all parts, right click and press "smooth". Cleans up like hell.
