All of the above stated by a few I came across on forums.
I'm here to help.
...its width can be no greater than 120 pixels, the height no greater than 120 pixels, and the file size no more than 10 KB.
Make sure the picture you are uploading fits the requirements as stated above.
If you are not sure what size the picture you are wanting to upload has the correct dimensions, right-click the image and view its properties.
If you don't find your information through a little exploring that way, You don't deserve to use a computer.
If your image fits the requirements, Please pick one of the options available to upload your picture. This is available in the 'Profile' section above this forum. See it? Gooooooood.
The picture above should be self-explanatory, just as uploading a picture should be.
If you plan to upload your avatar picture from the internet, Make sure it is saved onto your computer first (as not to steal precious bandwidth from other people), then go to an image-hosting website such as:
Once it is loaded onto one of those sites, Use the URL given and paste it onto this forum by using one of the following methods:
Simply paste the URL onto your post.
Code: Select all
[img]Paste the url here[/img]
Hot damn! Now yous dun learnt sumin!
Uploading Images into Posts
Similiar as explained above, only a few minor differences.
1. Upload your pictures onto the internet to an image-hosting site. As stated before, Stealing bandwidth from other sites is bad.
2. Once done, copy and paste the URL given onto your post using BBCode or simply paste the URL as text.
You can NOT upload an image/file using a link or BBCode if it's directly from your computer.
That would be the same thing as pasting the location of any of my files (e.g. C:\Documents and Settings\Reina\Desktop\image.jpg) into a post and expecting people to see that file and have access to everything on my computer.
It's not possible.
Example: You want a song from someone and they post the location in which they had it onto their computer into a post (C:\Documents and Settings\Reina\My Documents\My Music\stuff - sample.mp3)
And you pasted that same URL into your browser. No.
You obviously cannot share the same files that way. You cannot access the files if you did not download it from the internet.
If you still have trouble posting a picture, either:
-You just don't get it. Try re-reading more slowly.
-Perhaps my guide confused you. See above.
