Stencils

Postby HeRetiK » Mon May 08, 2006 12:43 am

I've been a fan of stencil grafittis since the time I came across them. Now I finally decided to make some myself, off the streets of course.

The first one. Well who would have thought I'd start stenciling with this :p

It came out rather bad, but this couldn't stop me.

This one was a pain in the ass to cut out and I made some mistakes while cutting it out, but I still like how it came out.

The third one, however, is my personal favourite.
My very much beloved girlfriend <3

That's it for now...

Ah, the 15 year old?
Is there a promised land
Or am I on the journey going to nowhere?
Are the streets paved with gold
Or am I slipping on the mold that slowly grows there?

Cool, the second and the third are the best ones in my opinion.

Many years ago I made a Linkin Park stencil, on the streets, or more precisely; under a bridge in the woods where no one can see it.

The second one is kinda confusing, but the third one is really well done. Nice work.

So, how do you guys make these? Do you like, cut the shapes on paper and spray them?

Basically yes. Then of course there are details such as how to make a graphic/image that can be used as a stencil, which material to use for cutting and how to spray it. As far as I can recall there are a few tutorials on the web. stencilrevolution.com used to have a tutorial section, but it's unfortunately down for now :(

If you don't find anything satisfying let me know and I'll try to explain it a little more detailed :)
