The Ascent

Peak of our desires
To climb this hill for shame
Forever climbing higher
Lamenting our disdain
No silence of choice
No echo or voice
Is too great for me
Head numb of broken pain
Insane I stand
Upon the land
Observing now for which to see
Winter's corsette has made her plane
But I do not falter
The mountain unbearing
To why this stake
Determined to set forth I claim
Our view is only
As great as the mind
Can comprehend
Amindst the nature of our fame
The mountains nearby
Obstruct unjust
They do not carry
Any pity heralded by name
Their majesty
Pertrudes forth unto the land
From which it stands
Have stakes the same

Because I'm unbelievably tired, and unable to sleep, i just went through your entire collection, and read it all aloud, to myself. Amazing.

This poem is about someone very important to me. So, you can like it or fuck off if you don't.

Tears for the Unremorseful

into a mind
much like mine and yours
with it's own experiences
opinions and limitations

For me this mind
has no imitations
the only one of it's kind
rusted shine
pale brilliance of
a youthful girl turned
soured and wisened
but unhappy and faltered
by experience it came to be
it's obstacles
too high to hurdle
after years of bodily torment
and mental abuse

It is a very morbid
picture which I paint
but one entirely true
I wreched old soul
not completely burnt out
but down to the end of her wick
a candle that once burned
amber and gold now
flickers a twilight blue
as if to imply
"I am old and rye"

Is the only thing I feel

I have seen the paths we took
to struggle as far as this
and even now the faint flame
embodies the room with
shadowy light
and although there is no danger
the fear sinks in harder
as the light grows more faint
a vicious loop plagued
by the inevitability of time

Though I've seen the candle
more than any times
I have seen anything else
it was not so bad
watching each tear
each bead of wax fall
to, ironically
hold the candle in place
as it burns down
once a dutiful object
now a neglected deralict

Before the last beads fall

Before the tears become
so overwhelming a pool
of wax on a forgotten
ball of contention
turned hopelessly short
and pessimistic
I want to fix it
and take whatever
wax I may find
strewn and dirty
and remold it to shape
the resemblance of a
world once divided by night

But even if I can
this candle will burn
Only until
the light redeems smoke
left to find my own way
through the darkness in my life

In my head, the voice the above was read in was that of the lady that explains the story thing in Lord Of The Rings. I'm not sure why.

The Youth of the Wise

no words to creep
the matters at hand
desolate burdens
of yesterday's man
Perhaps sorrow
more like lethargy
response of the weak
to shun upon the meek
we work so hard
to stand disregarded
as individuals
packaged as freaks
meant to obey
the code in process
and you would say
of which is bleak
remember these words
before you judge the ruined
standing close by
when they come to slaughter sheep
you would not purposely
end your own life
not one child strong
can stand against the knife
but dozens upon many
with the heard upon his heels
can prevent dogs and farmers
from turning us to meals

Stars that Stare through you

You can try
to write poetry

You can try to say
everything you could
ever possibly want
to blurt out about
one particular thing
that embelishes you
and leaves you absolutly
shaky and unusually nervous
every time you think
about that thing

You can try to sing
try to love
try to cry
and throw a fit
pretend it isn't real
and do a million
other stupid
fucking things that
you know is probably making everything worse

but you don't care

why would you?

you have evreything you need
and if you didn't, well
you probably wouldn't have
even tried to write
some god forsaken thing
that makes absolutly no sense
to anyone else
except you

And you can try
and keep on trying
but no matter how much you try
you just cant convey
what it really means to you

I'll go about trying it anyway

because no one quite
even begins to fathom or
care to even a miniscule extent
that anyone really gives a damn
what I'm trying to describe
other than that one person
who stares right through it

trying to see past it

trying to find some deeper meaning

but perhaps there is nothing deeper

what if that endless pit of meaning
turned out to be a ten foot deep
mud puddle?

you wouldn't stare into it
looking for something more
wondering where it went
who had put it there in the first place

you'd probably just bitch that there's
a damn hole in the ground
for no apparent reason other
than to trap little yuppie dogs
and ignorant asshole kids
inside of it's once seemingly
mysterious grasp

but for some kids
that mud puddle
is as god as a roller coaster

and I'm not saying that
these same kids that like to
play in mud puddles don't
like to ride roller coasters, either

Contrary, it is those that will
only ride the roller coasters
that have no imagination
and will never enjoy the
beautiful insignifigance of reality

so you can see me
making mud pies, mud cups
or throwing mud balls at people off of roller coasters
and I'll still be having just as much fun
no matter what we are doing
as long as it is together

I love you, hun!

This is Why we Dance

Move from the hip
step turn and pivot
sway bend and dip
caught up in the divot
beautifully masquerading
something not ourselves
prominently parading
upon the dance we delve
heel toe and buckle
fancy things made nylon
a million feigned chuckles
tuxedo coats and Revlon
hair pins, roses, runny noses
a banquet that no one eats
the band imposes to feature
the main coarse
a dish we all delight
to chew in chorus
one not rightly so served
while the food is observed
collects flies all night
I can hear the laughter
I can hear the snorts
I don't like to dance
I observe and retort
these people they smile
since they are not happy
they sound soft like a child
while they are not pappy
I fear to interrupt
would bring death to this eve
for to bring the dance disrupt
brings hindrance to my leave
where the music plays loud
amongst the falsely proud
the bus boys and hosts
scurry amongst white as ghosts
in except for the hired hand
no one leaves without neglect
they remember you don't dance
they stare so as to not forget
having met the most
never a dancing member to boast
I dance and dance well
more prone to sit and toast
and I watch
as the hungry bus boys float
in and out of the hall
like starving flies taking food
cadaverous bodies coasting
dancing to the same song
dancing away with lips pressed shut
standing tall as the lazy shrewd
who dance and laugh as the bus boys cuss

I've noticed this is more or less just a place you post your poetry these days. An odd post every now and again, but mostly just poetry.

Trying something different, again.

You Can Yell at Nothing

Not sure where or why these things seem so obscure
Blasphemis patterns of crimson ludacy contract
Squeezzing tighter, and tighter
Until the restrict all of the oxygen
Gasping for breath
Pulling the collar one notch smaller
Endless sound at the end of a rope
Choking on existence like
It were an undercooked steak
Cooked three days late
Served with potatoe salad
Instead of something more complacent

It's like that always

You take a picture
Capture the beauty of a something
Forever in stead
But the sun sets abruptly
The flowers wilt
And people get old
Until it gets to the point
They are not worthy of exposure

You hold onto your memories
For surely they will last
Inside of you and your cohorts
They grow in proportion
Until it is only a joke
That is vaguely remembered
And in the least bit true

You crash and you crash
You crash again
And then some more
You get high for a while
Only to have your face
Smashed into concrete
Like life was pile driving you
Like a big cousin
You sometimes forget that you have

And at some moments
When we reach the peak of our fortunes
Reach for the camera
To engrave these majestic revelations
Into our cerebellum
We feel strong and wise
Able to conqour our fears
Praise our destinies
And yell out at the world
From the crown to our most humbled accreditments

We scream long and hard
For we know that for these moments
Our collars were ripped from our throats
So that we may speak

Only to be shepperded
And knocked back down
A million people starring
In such disgrace that
You almost think they hate you
For the silence they were waiting to break themselves

Bite the Bullet

Chased by an angry snarling hurricane
The blistering storm is beginning to rain
Dropping like change in a toll bucket
Barreling down that stormy freeway,
fuck it.

An army of arrows shattering on the glass
An array of syncronized patter as they splash
And it is too late for the army of the heavens
To salvage this planet
Before it turns to ash

Like unsophisticated warfare, lightning strikes
Over the hills a while, then hits the pike
Mortar fire lays waste to the road ahead
And yet, not enough to stop everyone dead

Making it through the battle into the eve
Where peace with the weather is beleived
That the storm passes quickly when frisky about
And stands still in time when anchored through out

All this to say, as we begin another day
Hoping the skies will clear out for a change
For we are at the world's dismay
Though our passage through life more arranged

I can see the demons standing in the hall
Down in the hall standing six feet tall
Their red eyes gallop forth as if to a call
Demons down the hall standing six feet tall

Perhaps not the most auspicious
The lumbering beast awaits
Waiting for the orange glow to
Surrender to the pale blue mist
As fire blankets the sky
And a new day rises from
The ashes of a fallen day
No one speaks his name
Cept the piper and his men
With their steer-pulled wagon
Domestically blanketing the world below
Oblivious to the enraptured beast

Are You Auspicious?

Can you tell red from blue?
And chalk from glue?
Can you take a paper clip
Fold it into a wire?
Is it possible to open an auspicious door
that has a brick wall built up from behind?
Can you escape prison
Throw a frisbee with percission
Re build your car, bike or chair?
Should find it hard to listen
To the afflicted
As their concerns are only of theirs
I am not a way to cope
My only duty in search of remorse
I left the coarse to sturdy ground
I found a life, not to shy
Away and bide my time
Turbulent intestine, living fast
is the last way to win
So begin by deciding the right way to success
Perform your best and blow away the rest
You never know whst tomorrow may bring
Disgust, lament, joy and only anything

Try these on for size:

    And Fly!

This collection needs a revamp. I've been stuck on one note for too long. Time to create something new.

Storm Chaser

Dreaming for truth
Clashing with thunder
The sound of lies
Savaged a hunter
A strand of time
A tick in the wind
Inhale moments
Less tranquil within
Delighted and frothy
To question reason
Then exhale slow
With nothing to breath in
Can't wait forever
As time floats away
Air bounces around
Keeps truth parlayed
A stubborn hand
Raked against the ground
Dries up pale skin
Dust gets tossed around
Whips up in the sky
So sudden a twister
Scratching dry eyeballs
Making burns blister
Figure nothing of gusts
Which casually flirt
Sand grits at faces
Reminds that truth hurts
Only rain falls
To wash it all goodbye
Although never honest
Hope comes from the sky

My previous username was "The Mob"

Blast off

Full inertia coming to a rolling shock wave
Faster but steady floating a midst unsealed caverns
Frothy and frolic so nice to explore
Engine boost the dark cavern expands
Global orbit shoot around like a comet
Dank and moist pertains a distinct odor
Faint noise comes from the rooms below
When the rocket makes it all the way there
Pillars will rise and grow to the ceiling
Rubbing it's way against the columns
A missile begins it's final sequence
Hammering against the delicate supports
Shakes all the walls and collapses upon
What was once a strong booster jet
Turned into nothing but skin and bone
The cave collapsing quickly around it
The levy broke and water came rushing out
The whole Earth shook violently at the end
And mother nature screamed out in inevitability
Missile gone, cave gone, and only sounds
Of her voice hardening underneath the loosen soil
Water leaking from an egress still exposed
Moans of unsettled rubble beneath the ground
Another shot and then yet another
Leveling the surface off until even
The only exit out closes up and burst out
In a cloud of passionate fury and ferocious energy

There has not been a creative post in this forsaken forum in over two years.. That is atrocious.

We are the colors discerning war
Created adversaries to destroy
Lock into battle with endless spawn
Costumes adorning make the ploy
Easier to believe during the accord

We fight harder because we hate
Injustices done being deplored
A National pride that propagates
While borrowed time could afford
That we killed the enemy too late

Within of our own self-defenses
Crumbling around onto the trail
Stale inside, lifeless as the next
Numbness throughout each entrail
Eventually succumbing defenseless

Who are the enemies for today?
Please check to inform me again
Who am I aiming to despise?
Guessing it all may depend
Upon whatever the news will say
