Mike fucking Patton.

People have been bitching all over the internet recently because Mr Patton "disrespected" radio-friendly 70s rehash band wolfmother.
This really made me think about how many projects Patton has done and how many bands his bands have influenced.
Sadly many people havent even heard of him.

I ask you:
What are your favourite Patton bands?
When did you first hear of him?
General opinions?

Personally I first heard of Mike Patton when I first started listening to Mr Bungle.
Bungle and Fantomas are probably my favourite Mike Patton bands at the moment, although Ive had Tomohawks "god hates a coward" stuck in my head for about three days.

That's what I was going to say.

I'll go with Fantomas and The Dillinger Escape Plan.

Who is Mike Patton and why should I care about his musical opinions?
Is there a promised land
Or am I on the journey going to nowhere?
Are the streets paved with gold
Or am I slipping on the mold that slowly grows there?

Dillinger Escape Plan was my favorite of his. I heard of him through Faith No More, because I was looking at info about Courtney Love, because before that I was researching Kurt Cobain.
