http://www.pandora.com/

It's an online radio where you choose the songs/artists you want to play, and it will play them, and related songs and artists. You can pick and choose what songs you want, and how often you want them to play. I fuckin love it! You can create different radio stations with different types of music, or combine it all in one diverse radio station. It's really helped broaden my music taste, discovering new musicians and awesome music I've never heard of before.

Never worked for me.
Is there a promised land
Or am I on the journey going to nowhere?
Are the streets paved with gold
Or am I slipping on the mold that slowly grows there?

Well, in theory, it should play mostly music you like. If it plays something you don't like, thumbs-down it.

It's made to play music similar to what you type in. You must have just tried all the wrong artists.

I tried a bunch of different artists and thumbed down every song it shot my way. Not a SINGLE one worked.

You're probably picky when it comes to your taste in music then. Not a bad thing, just sayin.

Actually, I'm really not. Ask Wayne. But I'll get it one more chance and with a much broader scope of music.

I put in "Five Finger Death Punch" and it gave me Slipknot's "Before I Forget - Live". Thumb Down.

It gave me a Five Finger Death Punch song "Ashes". Well, Thumb Up I suppose.

"Liberate" by Slipknot. I've already downed one Slipknot song and will have to do it again.

"A Bid Farewell" by Killswitch Engage. Boo.

"Enemy" by Drowning Pool. Getting closer, Thumbs Up. Except I already know this song.

"Not Falling" by Mudvayne. Another Thumbs Up. Let's see if we can get three in a row.

"Doomsday" by Atreyu. Never heard of this band, but it sounds good. Until the vocalist opens his mouth. Thumbs Down.

The fuck is this shit?

And after that it gives me "Sinner" by Drowning Pool. I like this song too, but again I know this song (my friend knew the band back when they were playing small gigs in Dallas, and introduced me to their music before they hit it big.)

And it won't let me go to the next song, I have to wait for the song to finish.

"Fly From the Inside" by Shinedown. That's pretty far from where I started. Downed and site closed.

You can only skip so many songs every hour. Guess it's not for everyone then.

Well it's introduced me to some of my favourite artists. I use pandora every day and whole-heartedly endorse it.
