To be fair, I only hate James, the rest of the band's early stuff was good. I just can't stand his voice at all.

Who would win? Megadeth or Metallica?

... seriously?
stop copying old old old semi-meme's.
megadeth and metallica are completely different, it would be like comparing iron maiden with judas priest, or the dresden dolls with bob marley.

Megadeth and Metallica were major rivals in the entertainment. Megadeth's lead singer was once a member of Metallica, then he got kicked out and started his own band. I was just curious what people thought about the similarities/differences between the two bands.

yes... but the thing about music, it's about the music.
metallica and megadeth both have distinctive sounds, quite dissimilar.

Stop trying to be random. Nobody here will be impressed, I promise you.

Eh, good point. Even though being random is what I do, I had a feeling that it wouldn't work.

Yeah, I had the same feeling randomness wouldn't work, just that I didn't feel like it would be satisfying to try and find out. haha

See, this is why this topic is fail. Metallica? Good. Excellent, even, in my opinion. This topic? Old 'memes', inappropriate attempts at random statements to save face, and fool kids that don't know their history. Don't even try.

Metallica is my overall favorite band, as well as the first metal band I'd ever listened to. My favorite song of all time is Seek & Destroy, off their first album. My two favorite albums are probably Master of Puppets, and Ride the Lightning. The Black Album was also a great album, not a sell-out. Technically, The Black Album is their sixth album; their fifth is ...And Justice For All. Remember, Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, Garage Days Re-Revisited (yes, this counts), ...And Justice For All... you get the idea.

Load and St. Anger were shit albums, but I can understand the necessity for St. Anger. It was just something that the band needed to get out of their system, and I praise them for having the ability to work through conflict successfully. I even like a couple of songs on the album. Death Magnetic, though not their best work, is a significant improvement.

Oh, and one more thing: METAL UP YOUR ASS!

:P
Under construction. Or something.

Puppets was the very first album of any band i bought...... on cassete actually. I think i like justice better tho, it seemed to me that their music had just matured a little more. I really liked load, it wasn't your typical metallica album, more bluesy, they did a goo job of re-inventing themselves.

It's why I'm alive,
I'll never smother this fire, forever burning inside

This fury is mine and it keeps me alive.
I can't fucking breathe until I release what's inside.

It's an unloaded gun, that will never go off.
A rollercoaster ride, that you can't wait to stop
So tell me who the fuck are you trying to fool?
Tell me what the fuck have you put your heart into?

Are those lyrics or 8th grade poetry?

Flaw wrote:A very temperamental process,
beginning with all of our excess
Affecting our very own ingest,
this side of you is speechless
Overwhelmed with an abscess,
creating new diseases,
And infecting whomever it pleases,
we've been living this way for too long now

Then I noticed a difference,
in the way that I saw other insects
Who were living a life of indulgence,
sheltered by their parents
Such an unlucky existence,
not given a chance to experience
And make their own decisions,
I wouldn't trade my own mistakes at all
Is there a promised land
Or am I on the journey going to nowhere?
Are the streets paved with gold
Or am I slipping on the mold that slowly grows there?

Nah, just lyrics related to what he said. Not a rap, so not as flowy lyrically.

It read like a rap. I've never heard of the author. I made an inference.

Will do. With how picky you are with music, I'll either love it or hate it.
