The sort of classics that regularly make top ten lists on the television or the sort of classics your parents go on about? Followed by demeaning comments on today's sort of music and how things aren't as good as the 'classics...'

Also concur with the above post; elaborate.
An experiment with existence is showing up anomalies
You see the day dissolve into the morrow
And the slow growing of your second skin
Adrenaline begins in the marrow and then intoxicates your oxygen

if your talking about 1700's classical, i prefer progressive classical music
like Beethovens symphony N0.9, johhan sebastian bach's prleude 22, or
van veluten's cantata N0.3

Possibly, but I'm meaning music written for a group of instruments that could be played in an audience chamber type scenario, like a mini-orchestra. Things like string quartets, etc.

Dictionary.com wrote:clas⋅si⋅cal

4. Music.
a. of, pertaining to, or constituting the formally and artistically more sophisticated and enduring types of music, as distinguished from popular and folk music and jazz. Classical music includes symphonies, operas, sonatas, song cycles, and lieder.

chamber music

–noun
music suited for performance in a room or a small concert hall, esp. for two or more, but usually fewer than ten, solo instruments.

Chamber music can be classical music. A string quartet can play sonatas.

Your dense nature frustrates me more than you could comprehend, sometimes.

Describing music as classical is the same as describing it as "old school". It says a little about when it was made, but not about the music itself.

You probably know this, but in case you didn't, classical is a period of music making in history.
