@topic- Their bassist died.

I don't care much about his life over any other random person I will never meet, but I knew it would get posted, so I figured, why not me?

I only find that news disturbing since a few metal band members have died recently. Now I think about it, metal as a genre is loosing steam. Not particularly overbearing news.

There are simply more important things out there than metal.

there are, but metal is one of the more enjoyable genres, at least for me.
slipknot's not part of it though, and most of my favourite bands are already dead anyway.

Slipknot has enough people, they can replace the fucker. "Next in line, please step forward."

Ew, Gorillaz. They assault my ears. And its not even pleasurable enough to be sexual assault!

i like specific gorillaz songs a lot, and hate others of them with almost equal passion. problem is, sometimes it's the same song.
real nice song going, then they go in full-on rap and it just kills it for me.

Don't get me wrong, there are dozens of other genres of music out there I enjoy. Just for many people I know metal is a common interest. Gorillaz I like for variation, since I can just enjoy most of their tracks and mix up a relaxed playlist...

... Metal I thoughly enjoy listening to whilst playing dead rising. Zombies and metal just mesh so well!

Dead Rising and being cool mesh really well, too.

I've not heard any good reports about dead rising from friends who have played it =/

They must not be into zombies. Because that is literally the only thing that happens in that game. Lots and lots of zombies.

Well, I'm told it gets repetitive very quickly. I've no personal experience to back it up though, so I'm still open to influence.

It definitely requires a mild to moderate attention span, and a moderate to severe appreciation for zombies and the slaying thereof.
