Is there a promised land
Or am I on the journey going to nowhere?
Are the streets paved with gold
Or am I slipping on the mold that slowly grows there?

GOD, I HATE FAULTY DVDS! I once rented a DVD that skipped so much that it reduced the running time from 105 minutes to less than 75! That's why I always rent VHS instead. My video store sucks. Do stores take better care of their DVDs in bigger cities?

Downloading movies from the internet is all the rage in romania so no one's really renting dvd's, it would suck big time to pay to see a movie and not even get to see it all.

There's no way I could download a movie from the internet. It takes my connexion a full hour to download a ten-minute clip, so there's no way I would ever take the time to download a two-hour film.

I wish I had a faster connexion.

It seems pourer countries have better taste for the internet, I get 30mbps for 9 dolars per month, I can get a full 2 hour movie in less than 7 minutes, I'm quite curious how this came to be, out economy sucks, why is internet so cheap and so comon here when in the U.S. you get a ridiculously small 256kbps for 150 bucs or smething (or so I've heard).

Because in America, everyone wants internet, so the companies jack up the prices. It's similar to the "supply and demand" law of economics.

I guess in a way it's like that, they don't ask much here cuz people can't pay a lot anyway, hmm, a pour economy does have it's benefits :)

You dude are from romania, where do you live? If you are in the range of RDS get it, if they don't have fiber link in your area they will have it soon.
