The whole watching of the film made me apprehensive.

And it wasn't even good sex. :(

Was he the guy you were going on about in unhappy about how you were both so in love and he was really serious which made me think you must have been older than you really are?

@Topic: I watch a lot of films. If I had to narrow down to my favourite favourite list I would say:

Two Hands,
The Locals,
Pans Labyrinth,
Cherry Falls,
The Hole,
Takeaway,
Superbad,
The Crow,
The Rocky Horror Picture Show,
Dr Horribles Sing-a-long Blog,
Amelie,
Batman Returns,
Batman: The Dark Knight,
Pulp Fiction,
Braindead,
Shortbus,
Happy Campers,
Fantasia,
Ju-on 2.

Also, I recently saw a film called 'Otis' which Im not quite sure I would call favourite but I still really recommend. Watch the alternate ending, too.

It's supposed to be sometime this year which means probably early next year.

I'm pretty sure it's actually in post-production right now.

I've been meaning to watch Wristcutters on a recommendation from someone for a while. From what I heard it reminded me of a book I read when I was younger, Road to Nowhere.

Its for people a bit younger than most of this forum, I think, but its a lot better than what younger teens read these days.

i think wassup rockers is definitely an acquired taste, and the keiko and preppy girl dialogue was MUUUCCH too drawn out.
but i enjoyed it, nonetheless.

also, astica, i second that recommendation!
it sounds very much like emo faggotry, but no such thing.
i promise.
i agree with whatever i just said.

You said so yourself that you're mostly straight so don't get all defensive just because you're currently dating a male. :P

I'm just a little perturbed is all. I know she doesn't mean to be offensive to homosexuals, but she could always choose a different word....

but "emo faggotry" is a rather standard statement, no?
besides, i always try to take message by intent, rather'n choice of wording with things like this, it's the intent that matters.

hmm, sure. trying to influence people to what you think is right is fine, provided your force no one and try not to annoy.
however, i'd try not to get angry by things like that, not productive just makes you feel shittier.

i don't use terms like that myself, 'cause i know some people (you for example) don't like it, but i can see why others would.

Emo tomfoolery just doesn't carry the same zing.

YOU'RE ONLY AS OFFENDED AS YOU ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE.

what? you have your natural reactions under control?
that's like saying you're only as dumb as you allow yourself to be.
you can curb some things, or enhance em, but there's always boundries that you don't set yourself.

I don't get offended by prejudice slurs or jokes about my mother, at least. I do possess the aptitude to simply not care what people say if it would be better that way.

NIGGER CUNT JEW FAGGOT

Words. Oh no. I'm sure everyone went through the phase where they argued cussing was just words. Well; ain't it? What absolute authority does society have to establish rules governing what reactions we have to certain verbal cues so trivial as cussing?

I'm just saying... I feel bad because it's a commonplace word disparaging an entire group of people.

trying to influence people to what you think is right is fine, provided your force no one and try not to annoy.

Well what the fuck¿ I'm annoyed. Fuck you and what annoys you, if that's the case.

I understand what you're saying; I'm suggesting it's within your power to not feel bad about it.
