the whole brad pitt thing almost turned me away, not a fan of his stuff.
but then i remembered it's tarantino, ANYONE related to reservoir dogs gots his other movies checked by me, deserves that much.

anyway, tarantino always makes fun films with a special feel, i don't doubt this one'll be any different in that regard, though it'll probably be more unique than his others in the specific feel.

I don't like a lot of his movies, but Tyler Durden is my favorite character in a movie that I've seen thus far.

i actually like brad pitt, i don't know why it would put you off, az. he's been in a lot of good films. some, like fight club and snatch, are some of my personal favourites.

He's from my hometown, too. I have teachers who picked on him in college.

I always thought Tarantino was overrated and his films are pretty much hit and miss for me, but after seeing the "original" I'll have to see if Tarantino does it better. Even if the films ain't much related story-wise.

This movie comes right from Tarantino’s stable, and Tarantino had fun. You know what to expect when Tarantino has fun. Awesome with a capital A. It is Tarantino’s best since Pulp Fiction. Let me use a cliche – Don’t walk, RUN for it.

I also saw it recently. While it is not remotely the best movie I've seen, it is certainly my favorite.

Did he do Kill Bill? Cause if so, urgh. Not a fan. I can't remember the names of his other movies, but I know I've seen them and was not impressed.

he did kill bill, which can be fun if you don't take it seriously, but no, that's not his best.
watch reservoir dogs, then tell me if you like him.

He's not a very good director, but he's written some cool shit. See also: Pulp Fiction and Natural Born Killers.

Ah, Pulp Fiction I do like. He gets kudos for that. I'll test drive the others on netflix.

I would never recommend Kill Bill to someone who hasn't seen any of his other films.

agreed. if you don't know where he's coming from, it's very easy to misinterpret the whole thing, which means a lot less enjoyment.
