So...Who loves Green Day?

NOBODY

They rose up and took over the world... and then promptly killed their career.

I fucking HATE Greenday. Reasons I hate them:

5. I am a metalhead. And I hate Punk rock.
4. The music sucks.
3. It creates even more sucky bands.
2. They influenced the school band to play the brass version of American Idiot and it sucked.
1. I just like to say that Greenday sucks!
Yay! My signature sucks!

You hate Greenday because the music doesn't fit your exact preference and has inspired bands who also don't fit your exact preference?

Come on now. They had a good run.

Back in my Linkin Park days, I have to admit that I actually liked them.

I'll admit, I'm only a fan of their earlier stuff. American Idiot spoiled a good thing.

Either because you disagree with the message of the band or the band members personally.
If you just don't like the music, I don't think you have the grounds to be hostile towards it.

I DO! :) Well, from the songs that I've heard, I like 'em. There are some bands that make me feel good inside and others that just... Well, I feel more serious about some others. But Green Day is one of the bands that will lighten up my day every now and then that I hear some of their songs and I like it.

Thanks! I found it a long time ago and wondered what I should do with it; I guess I found a cool use for it, finally.

If you just don't like the music, I don't think you have the grounds to be hostile towards it.

I mean, unless it´s something very extremely different, then those reasons could still make you come off as closed-minded. Not that I really agree with any of that, I think that the dislike for certain music is reason enough to hate a band, just be ready to back yourself up when you get called on it.

Hating a band is like me hating the people who make some food I don't like.

I'll personally never eat it, but some people will.
Hostility towards a nonintrusive thing, like a band, is just ignorant, and spawns from a lack of thought process.

or maybe it just spawns from a strong dislike of the music they make?

Frosty, I think you're being over analytical. lskadfhslkadfh;, I think you're right.

it's up to any one person to decide on how much to hate, I usually refrain from hating anything, but it's a free world, let them go for it.

Then you refrain from listening to the music. It isn't anyone's position to determine the value of a band.
Saj wrote:Frosty, I think you're being over analytical

This is my opinion. I ain't analyzing shit.
Vil wrote:but it's a free world, let them go for it.

Just as much a right as one has to live one way, I have just as much right to think living another way is better. I have an opinion, and of course I'm going to disagree with anyone who disagrees.
A lack of opinionation is just interpersonal nihilism.

Wow, for once I totally agree with Frosty. But then I had every right to act like a dumbass before, according to you.
