Working on not being a hated noob
Hey all. First things off, I don't cut, I am not emo, I did this in a wierd order not like in the 'what not to do' post, my parents may be divorcd, but I don't care, etc...
--EDIT-- 18, Male, Gilsum, NH, music, art, existentialism --EDIT END--
--EDIT 2-- I came here because I have enjoyed the animations that the guy who runs mindistorion makes. Manuel, that is his name, anyways, I was just gambling that the people here would have good conversation --EDIT END--
Now that that is done, some useful information. I am eternally curious. If it seems like I am prodding, sorry in advance, and just tell me off. Right now, I am working on a project for a game that blends a fictional world with the real one through a set of fake websites, and similar means (emails, etc). I figure I may be able to start a topic to get help with brainstorming stuff, because most of the people around here are not helpful. at all. No need to elaborate there.
If that idea sounds interesting to you, talk to me, and I can direct you to some similar games and show you a couple (thousand) things that the creators did right and wrong. I am no expert, but I am looking for things that make the game not feel real.
which defeats the whole purpose.
I really don't expect much word to get out about this, but if it does, I don't really care. Nothing goes up until the entire game is fielded, and my local peeps are ready to manage emails and loading pages so that the sneaky player won't find them all created the same day.
I think I have kinda gone on a lot more than planned about the game, and that isn't the point of this.
Really, if you want to know me, talk to me. If you haven't figured out already, stepping back and finding words to describe myself is not my faveorite thing to do in this pitiful world, but conversation is usually interesting, and always more informative.
ciao, and form whatever opinion about me you want.

What can I say, even if I don't abstain, I use protection...
now that that joke is fielded...
so being annoying is cause for booting, and being safe, and unannoying is cause for suspicion. Dandy.
Just me noticing something. I do that. I am pretty sure you do that too.

It does appear you have been watching from the shadows, none the less your comment did make me laugh

Welcome to the forum(s) I read your introduction in a hurry so that could be the reason for not understanding exactly what sort of ideas you need, I fancy myself to be somewhat of a writer, not a very good one but if I have time I might give this a shot, whatever it is.
And to avoid misspelling do what I do http://www.spellcheck.net/
Just my opinion but you already included "shane" in your signature, no point spelling it after each post..
Order, symmetry, discipline and balance.

Ska to me is like sitting down, mildly stimulating but not even noticible as an event.

You have to be in the mood for ska to feel the energy they're usually trying to express.
Like if you just ran 2 miles and were forced to listen to Moonlight Sonata
Or if you just woke up from 3 hours of sleep and someone blasts death metal
They don't mix.
But for me I can listen to the aquabats whenever...

I think thought the only Ska band with music I've heard is Reel Big Fish. Not sure, some indie girl sent me a bunch of different bands and types of music because she thought I didn't know enough bands.

Yah but most kids at my school only listen to well-known badns like Slipknot or Black Eyed Peas. Then again there are some people who do like really weird bands that I've never heard of.

yes, I have heard of Ska, and I was using Emo in the not-music-sense. Emo as is what-punk-kids-call-people-that-are-whiney-and-annoying.
