The Sky Is Broken
Probably my most personal work as of now. Actually, for a while, I wasn't even sure if it would ever be seen by anyone.

I could probably write pages about this artwork, but since you say it's your most personal it's enough to say that I think it's your best, both when it comes to the artistic parts as well as the technical. It made me reflect and left me with many unanswered questions, but that doesn't really matter.

very VERY good work, one of your best pieces to date. the artwork, concept, music, emotion, atmosphere, everything just clicks. i really dig this one, and i feel grateful for my name to be in the credits. you really didn't need to do that. i'm just glad you think of me as someone who can be there for you when you need it.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, really appreciated.
You've been there when I needed someone to talk to. When I worked on this piece. You deserve being mentioned in the credits.

Your artwork has dramatically improved over your last piece.
And although the music fit well, I hope this isn't the kind of stuff you listen to. The slow pace and monotone voice would drive me over the edge.

Is there a promised land
Or am I on the journey going to nowhere?
Are the streets paved with gold
Or am I slipping on the mold that slowly grows there?

I listened endlessly to this song while making the movie. Because I needed it.
Other than that I'm pretty moody as far as music is concerned.
It happens that I listen to Portishead, jump to Slayer, switch back to some relaxing Boards of Canada only to end up with cleaning my head with some noisy Venetian Snares track. After which I need some classic Metallica.

I dunno. I generally consider anyone to be THAT depressed over a relationship to be ignorant fools.
But I don't believe in love, so what do I know?

This reminds me of a friend of mine who once said that he simply doesn't understand depression, even though he acknowledges it as an illness.
I suppose some things can't be really understood unless you either
1) have made similar experiences
2) have enough empathy
This doesn't really matter right now though.
Fact is, that I don't expect you or anyone else around to truly understand the situation. How should you anyways? You don't know the story, the events that lead me to where I am now.

You're right. Though how many times are break-ups much different from another. Though (if I recall in the video, like hell I'm gonna watch the whole thing all over again) you said you were sorry (I think!). So maybe there's something there.

I agree that your skills have improved a lot, the whole thing fits together very well and has a great atmosphere, definately loved it. As Hellbilly said, thanks for sharing.
EDIT:
some of your previous work had options to pause or move through scenes, did you intentionally leave it out or did you forget?

I left it out because pausing / fast forwarding would have messed up the timing in most scene.
(for those with a little knowledge in Flash, the scenes mainly contain MovieClips that continue playing despite pausing the main timeline)

I think there's a way to recursively iterate through the child MovieClips of a MovieClip. Been too lazy to look into that, as I must admit.
Also, I just submitted it on NG:
