This film was recently screened at the 24 hour movie marathon I went to, and I must say it was pretty groovy. We had no idea what it was at the start, or what to expect, so actually wondered if it was indeed a documentary rather than a 'found footage' film for about the first 15-20 minutes, which made it totally hilarious when we realised. I liked the humour in this film, and how it was balanced with the horror. I guess we can expect a lot more found footage films following the success of Paranormal Activity, but I personally thought this was a particularly good one.
The character of the Exorcist was particularly good, I thought he was very likeable and believable. I loved the bit where he's talking to the father and he's just like "oh, you can't read Latin?"
There were some genuinely creepy moments, too. Unlike Paranormal Activity, or even the Blair Witch Project, where there was usually some kind of warning before something scary happened to the characters, insane shit just came out of nowhere in this film.
Has anyone else seen it? What are your thoughts?
